Before I was concerned with my over sized stomach, I was a fast food junky. I knew all of the special deals that the fast food joints were pushing and where I could get the best bang for my buck. A better slang expression might be the most gut for my green.

I walk into a gas station now-a-days and a person can get a soft drink so big that it can’t even fit into your car’s drink holder, and you can get it for $.99. Another great idea was the all you can drink offer. Just keep going back and filling up your cup. What a great idea.

Three hundred and ten pounds later and medical issues up the wazoo, I wish I never heard of these deals. But, I travel a great deal and restaurant eating is just something I have to LIVE with. The key word being live.

Getting Rid Of Stomach FatGetting rid of stomach fat can be a real challenge if you grew up eating the way I did.

My mom loved when I was growing up, she really did, but I don’t think she thought much about nutrition until supper. That is when she told me to eat my vegetables and I could not have my dessert until I did.

So, here was the way my rest of the day went.

I was one of five kids and it seemed like I was always competing for the food available in the house. I am talking about the food that I loved to eat. Starting with breakfast, I would get up and pour my self a bowl of Cap’n Crunch cereal. I loved that cereal. Now if there was less than a half of box left, I made sure I ate at least two or three bowls because I knew that there was a good chance that the next morning they would all be gone.

I then made my lunch for school. This was usually 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread. I would also through in a bag of chips and a twinky or ding dong. To top it off, I put in a can of off brand soda pop.

This was my basic diet day after day groing up. On top of that, all the fast food and junk food.

Now that I think about it, those vegetables my mom made me eat were really the only healthy food that I ever ate.
